At Niamh Hayes Pottery, we believe jewellery should be more than just an accessory; it should tell a story, reflect your personality, and celebrate the uniqueness of every individual. That’s why we are excited to unveil our debut piece: a delicate necklace featuring a handcrafted porcelain disk charm that can be personalised with your initial. This charming piece is designed to add a personal touch to any outfit, whether you're dressing up for a special occasion or looking to elevate your everyday style.

Each tiny bead goes through several stages during its creation. First the soft clay is left to dry a little before we stamp out each disk and then carefully add the initial, it is then left to dry completely and smoothed with a sponge to round off the edges and give it beautiful finish, at this stage it is baked in a kiln to harden the clay. The next stage of the process is glazing and it is here our bisque porcelain pieces become real gems, once the glaze is fired in the kiln to over 1200 Celsius it turns into a glass like substance that gives our bead the beautiful shine. The next stage of the process is where the gold lustre is applied and again our little gems are fired in the kiln. Finally once through all these steps the charms can be added to the chain to give you your own piece of personalised art.
